Reporting an error

This is the message we most want to receive. To let us check it quickly, include:

  • Which calculator, and a link to the page
  • The exact values you entered
  • The result you got and the result you expected
  • The source for the expected figure, if you have one

Confirmed errors are fixed and deployed the same week wherever possible.

Requesting a calculator

Tell us what you need to work out and what inputs you would expect to enter. Requests that come up repeatedly get built first, so it is worth asking even if you assume someone else already has.

Suggesting a source or a correction to the method

Several calculators implement formulas where more than one accepted version exists, and guidance changes, the CKD-EPI equation was revised in 2021 to remove its race coefficient, and marketplace fees move without notice. If you know a formula here is out of date, or you can point to a better primary source than the one cited, that is genuinely useful and we will act on it.

Our editorial policy sets out how formulas are chosen, how sources are verified, and how corrections are handled once reported.

Response times

Error reports are prioritised and usually answered within a couple of days. Everything else may take a little longer. This is a small independent project, not a support desk. Every message is read by a person rather than routed through a ticketing system.

What we cannot help with

  • Individual medical or financial advice. We can explain what a calculator does and where a formula comes from. We cannot tell you what your result means for you personally, that needs a clinician or a qualified adviser who knows your circumstances.
  • Guest posts and paid links. We do not accept either, in any form, so please skip those enquiries.
  • Recovering your data. There is none. Calculations run in your browser and nothing you type is stored, so there is nothing for us to look up or delete.

Press enquiries, partnership questions and general feedback all go to the same address. Before writing, the about page covers who builds the calculators and how, and the privacy policy covers what happens to your data: which is, in short, very little.
