How the Printable Calendar Generator works
One month with room to write in, or the whole year on a sheet. Weeks can start Monday or Sunday, ISO week numbers go in the margin if you need them, and public holidays are marked for the UK, US or India. The dates are computed from the rules that define each holiday, so any year from 1900 to 2200 comes out right rather than just the next couple.

Why the holidays are computed rather than listed
Almost every printable calendar online is a PDF for one particular year, made by someone who typed the holiday dates in by hand. That is fine for that year. It is why searching for a 2029 calendar returns very little, and why the ones you do find have a bank holiday on the wrong Monday.
Every holiday here is derived from the rule that defines it instead. Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday in November, so it is computed as the fourth Thursday in November. The Spring bank holiday is the last Monday in May. Easter comes from the Gregorian computus, a piece of arithmetic settled in 1582 that finds the Sunday after the first ecclesiastical full moon on or after 21 March, and Good Friday and Easter Monday hang off it. Nothing is stored, so 2043 is exactly as reliable as next month.
The rules were checked against the published dates rather than against themselves: twelve years of Easter against the ecclesiastical tables, and several years of bank holidays against gov.uk and the US Office of Personnel Management, including the years where the awkward cases bite.
The Christmas week problem
When a holiday lands on a weekend it gets moved, and the two conventions in use here are not the same. A US federal holiday on a Saturday is observed the Friday before and one on a Sunday the Monday after, so it can move backwards. A UK bank holiday never moves backwards: it takes the next working day that is not already a bank holiday.
That second rule has a trap in it, and it is worth spelling out because it is where most calendars go wrong. In 2022 Christmas Day was a Sunday and Boxing Day the Monday. Work through them in date order and Christmas Day takes Monday the 26th, which pushes Boxing Day to Tuesday the 27th. Gov.uk says the opposite: Boxing Day on Monday the 26th, where it always was, and the Christmas Day substitute on Tuesday the 27th.
The fix is to let every holiday that does not need moving claim its date first, and only then send the displaced ones looking for a free working day. Boxing Day was on a Monday, so it keeps the Monday, and Christmas has to go round it. In 2027 both fall at the weekend and both substitute, giving Monday the 27th and Tuesday the 28th.
Week numbers, and why the shortcut is wrong
If you work anywhere that plans in week numbers, a calendar without them is half a calendar. The definition that matters is ISO 8601: week 1 is the week containing the first Thursday of the year, equivalently the week containing 4 January. That means 1 January sometimes falls in week 52 or 53 of the preceding year, and a year can have 52 or 53 weeks.
The common shortcut is to number from the first Monday of January. It agrees with ISO most of the time and disagrees about one year in five, which is exactly the frequency that lets it survive unnoticed in a spreadsheet for a decade before somebody's production schedule slips by a week.
Week numbers are off by default here, because most people printing a wall calendar do not want them, and one click away because the people who do want them really do.
Choosing the layout for the job
The month view gives every day a cell tall enough to write two or three lines in, which is what you want on a fridge or a noticeboard. Turning off the tall cells shrinks it to a reference calendar that fits alongside something else on the page.
The year view puts all twelve months on one sheet and is a different tool: it is for seeing where the holidays fall relative to school terms, for booking leave, and for planning a year at a glance. Print it landscape. Four columns of three months fits A4 and US Letter with room to breathe, while portrait squeezes the columns until the day numbers start touching the grid lines. Holidays appear as a dot on the day with the full list printed underneath, since there is no room for names in a cell that size.
Weeks starting Monday is the ISO convention and the norm across Europe, most of Asia and Australia. Sunday is the norm in the United States, Canada, Japan and much of Latin America. Neither is more correct, and getting the one your household actually uses matters more than either, so it is a single toggle rather than a regional assumption.

Which years can I print?

Are the holiday dates reliable?

Why are Diwali and Eid not marked?
They are lunar, set by almanac or by sighting rather than by arithmetic, so there is no rule to compute them from. India shows its three national holidays and leaves the festivals off rather than printing a guess that might be a day out.
