eBay International Fee Calculator
The overseas surcharge and the currency spread.
Calculate eBay's international fee on a cross-border sale, plus currency conversion cost, and what the order leaves you in your own currency.
Applies when the buyer is registered outside your marketplace, wherever the item ships.
Taken on the whole payout rather than on the fees, which is why it is larger than it looks.
You receive
$80.18
$4.10 less than the same domestic sale
eBay's final value fee runs from roughly 2.5% to 15.3% depending on category, and changed on some marketplaces in July 2026. The default here is the standard-category rate; check your own category on eBay's fee page and edit it above before pricing against this.
How the eBay International Fee Calculator works
Selling abroad adds two costs that domestic sellers never see, and they compound. eBay charges an international fee when the buyer is registered outside your marketplace, applied on top of the standard final value fee. Then, if the money has to change currency to reach your bank, a conversion spread is taken from what is left.

Frequently asked questions
What is eBay's international fee?
An additional percentage, around 1.65%, charged when the buyer's registration address is outside your own marketplace. It follows where the buyer is registered rather than where the item ships, so it can apply on a domestic delivery.
How much is eBay's currency conversion charge?
A spread applied when your payout currency differs from the sale currency, commonly a few percent against the mid-market rate. It is taken on the payout, so it applies to the whole amount rather than to the fees, which makes it larger than it looks.
Can I avoid the currency conversion cost?
Sometimes, by holding an account in the sale currency so no conversion happens at payout. Whether that is worth the administration depends on how much of your volume is cross-border; run a month's worth through this before deciding.
Is international selling still worth it?
Usually yes, because the extra reach outweighs a couple of percent, but only if it is priced in. The failure mode is pricing for a domestic sale and discovering the international fee, the conversion spread and higher postage together consumed the margin.
